Nothing special...

2012 is quickly approaching...I don't really have any feelings on the new year...Just that 2011 went by very fast and I'm sure 2012 will speed by too...

Carter turned 1 on 12/10...I can't believe my little face is 1...

He had his 1 year checkup and did pretty well...He cried when he got his shots, but he got over it rather quickly...He's a bit of a small guy...He's still in his 9 month clothes and weighed in at 17 pounds and 10 ounces...But I'm not concerned about it and neither is the doc...

Very much looking forward to February and our trip to Florida...Evan and I have set a route...Next we'll need to fix up our nightly stop points and book hotels...Since there isn't much going on at work today, I'm going to start our pack list...I LOVE PACK LISTS!!!  (I'm being 100% serious)

No bueno...

This week had an awesome part, and then a not so awesome part...

Tuesday was awesome...There was a power outage in the area where I work, so we were cut for the day at 9am...I was SO excited to head home and spend the day with my boys...We took a family field trip to Target and then had some lunch...

Wednesday onward was not awesome...Late Tuesday evening Ev told me he was feeling pretty bad...And then that feeling went into full on illness...Then in the morning, we discovered poor William had it...I hurried home to take care of them, and then around 5:30, I had it too...The only upside was that whatever we had, Carter didn't catch it...

I have no idea what this bug was or where it came from...I will spare you the grossness, but it was really really bad...Poor William had no idea what was going on or what was happening to him...Poor Ev and I were struggling big time...We were both majorly weak and just picking up the boys for a diaper change made us dizzy...I am on the mend and made it into work this morning...William appears to be better...But poor Ev is still sick...

Hoping for some recovery time this weekend...Also hoping to still attend Ravina's Griswald Christmas Party, but I'm not sure Ev will be well enough, or that we'll have the energy to go and chase the boys around, so we'll see on that one...

So yeah, a plague on the house that brought on this horrible illness!

Brief absence...

So yeah, I was gone for awhile...

My beautiful little Carter turned 1 on 12/10...I can't believe how fast this past year has gone...One minute he was freshly hatched with his tiny little face and now he's 1 and has teeth and walks around...Pure craziness...

William is awesome...For awhile we were worried about his speech, he just hardly said anything...But over the past few months, it's just exploded...Its so amazing to see...I love hearing him talk...

Taking our first real family vacation in February!  I'm very excited about it...We're taking the boys to Orlando, FL for a week to hit Disney and visit our old homestead...I'm enthused about the following:

1. Seeing William and Carter's faces when we get to Disney...William LOVES Mickey Mouse...It'll totally blow his mind...
2. Seeing our friends!  It'll be so awesome to sit down and talk to people sans internet connection...
3. FOOD!  I plan to hit up Publix and grab a sheet cake for our week long stay...
4. Being somewhere that's warmer than Idaho in the winter...

We plan to drive since Ev doesn't fly...I honestly think it'll be fine...The boys did amazingly well when we drove to Oregon for Javier & Rachael's wedding...

Ugh, feeling low on energy, I may need an afternoon cup of coffee...
